| Timo Maas | |
Self-styled purveyor of 'percussive wet funk', Timo Maas is a man with a mission, a man sick of the "cheesy shit" that clogs up the clubs and the charts, stifling creativity: "I like the idea of building up a unique sound, of working with different sounds to create something new and fresh. I suppose I may always be the underdog but at least I won't have sold out like some other German acts."
From early days at The Tunnel in Hamburg, Timo broke through with 'Mama Konda' a top 20 Club hit in UK and US and has been consistently all over the international club scene with his remixing, production and DJ work.

The N.O.W. sound nonchalantly sojourns down crisp Philly Soul production, pulsating ho-down medleys, heavy Barry White pant tones, and nerve shivering chord shimmers found in all the classic soul.
"Soul music is the earliest form of hip hop. That's why I want to create it. It might seem like recreating what was done in the past, but what I want to do is merge soul and hip hop together. That's why I'll bring in the live aspect of what happened back then into current hip hop trends. That's the angle I'm arriving at."
From the landmark 90's album Carboot Soul to the latest joint In A Sound outta Time, Nightmares On Wax have been in a league of their own for creating the deepest, spliff friendly Hip-Hop, Dub & Soul hybrid that is perfectly to suited to a Summers afternoon in the Good Vibrations Park.
Key Tracks: Les Nuits, 70s/80s, Know My Name.

The undisputed "Godfather of Noyze? has re-defined the beat box. A self-defined "vocal percussionist", Rahzel (rhymes with 'gazelle') has perfectly mastered this quintessential hip hop art form and has emerged as a "true virtuoso". To hear him is to be converted.
Billboard Magazine proclaims: "Everyone should experience his fascinating rhythms" using just his lips, cheeks, gums, and Adam's apple he (recreates), with amazing accuracy and detail, tracks from the magic mixing desks of Pete Rock "and others".
Rahzel is best known as an original member of The Roots, but since going solo has gone on to work with an amazing list of artists as varied as Q-Tip, Brandford Marsalis, Me'Shell N'Degeocello, Erykah Badu, Pete Rock, Bjork and Mike Patton.
Growing up as a youngster in New York, Rahzel admired his cousin Rahim, a founding member of the pioneering Furious Five. "I remember watching Grand Master Flash before I could even see over the gate", recalls Rahzel. "Having that influence alone was incredible". Later, Rahzel roadied for Ultramagnetic MCs. "In every important phase of hip-hop, I was there," he says, "absorbing everything that was going on."

Just Voted #1 House DJ in the World!!! DJ magazine 2006
Long before periodicals like URB and BPM Culture began sponsoring annual surveys of the world's favorite DJs, dance music lovers had already spoken, loud and clear, in favor of DJ Dan. From his rise through the early '90s Los Angeles scene, to his non-stop international agenda today, Dan has continued to thrill audiences wherever he goes, from Sydney to San Paulo, Taiwan to Toronto. He has sold over 300,000 mix CDs in North America alone, been featured prominently on MTV and network television, rocked a crowd of over 50,000 LA New Year's Eve revelers in 1999, and was one of the first American DJs to play China.
"I don't base my mix around what the newest tracks of the week are, but rather, what would make up a great set that captures the vibe of not only where I'm at musically, but also the diversity that inspires me," he insists. "I love playing house, techno, electro, old school, breaks, and I want to represent all of those sounds."
Key Mix: Chinese Laundry 2.

Ursula 1000's style evolved and transitioned from the sophisticated & hip background score provided by his father, a renowned member of the 50's Latin orchestra, Los Chavales De Espana, to the heady rock, punk, disco, funk and electronic dance music of his generation; he smoothly moves back and forth between musical styles from the glamorous Jet Set era to frenetic Electronica.
Keeping up with the jetsetting image, you can catch URSULA 1000 dj-ing his transcontinental grooves at discoth?ques worldwide and for fashionistas like Prada, Issey Miyake, Hugo Boss, Miss Sixty, Fiorucci, H&M, Diesel and Christian Dior. When in New York you can also catch him at his weekend residencies at the swank APT and the Soho Grand Lounge.

Kraak and Smaak formed in 2003 through a series of friendships and chance meetings. Mark and Wim already knew each other from DJ'ing together and were introduced to Oscar by a mutual friend who told them about the keyboard prodigy that was studying at the conservatoire. The trio started working together and sent one of their earliest efforts into the outside world to see if anyone was interested - That track Money in the Bag was picked up by Jalapeno Records who offered the band an album deal.
K&S made some serious inroads into the UK when DJ magazine made Boogie Angst (their debut album) their album of the month and devoted a spread to the super strength Dutch funk crew declaring Boogie Angst "One of the years best albums".
The band have since worked alongside Dance luminaries such as Sharam Jey , 4 Hero, Soul of Man, Mark Rae and the Fort Knox Five.
Expect the unexpected from their DJ sets, as Mark says; "there isn't really anything that escapes our radar".
Key tracks: Money In The Bag, One Of These Days.

With a series of critically acclaimed singles under its belt, one of the most talked about electronic bands in the UK is about to release its debut album.
